Sports market in a nutshell
Sport Market, an independent communications consultancy, promotes sport to public and private players as a sustainable tool for action in favor of the common good. Founded in 2001 and grown into a company with a mission in 2021, the agency supports its clients in all or part of their sports communication cycle: from advice on setting up or reorienting sports policy or sports partnerships to implementation for the deployment of communication campaigns and action plans. The agency has set itself the roadmap to unlock the full potential of sports sponsorship by pairing “Sponsoring with Emotion” and “Sponsoring with a Mission”.
Bureau Sportmarkt is looking for an apprenticeship development manager. You will work with the agency’s development manager and associate directors to identify prospects, contact them to refer the agency to their future needs, and offer them the communication campaigns and activations designed for them. These prospects are athletes, such as those for whom the agency already works: brands, start-ups, rights holders, associations and sports manufacturers. The missions will focus on the commercial approach and communication of the agency on its achievements and its areas of expertise: content design and creation, graphic design, digital, events, press relations, internal communication. This position requires a good knowledge of the communication issues of advertisers and sports.
Under the responsibility of the agency’s development manager, the development manager is responsible for:
– Define the development plan and objectives with the partners and the development manager
– Identify ways to contact targeted prospects with employees
– Contacting prospects to introduce the agency
– understand and meet their current and future needs,
– Make them want to know more about our expertise
– Propose communication actions to highlight the agency, its strengths and its achievements
– Writing documents to present to prospects and participate in tender responses
– Qualification and monitoring of prospecting bases: weekly reporting of contacts initiated, reporting of implemented communication actions, analysis of results
The candidate must have a higher education (business school, IEP, 3rd university cycle) with a specialization in Marketing and/or communication. Internship experience at an agency and/or in sports is recommended.
You want to promote the agency and its achievements and sell the campaigns it could come up with and run for new clients.
You have very good interpersonal skills and good oral communication skills on the phone, in video and in meetings and you are very persistent when it comes to achieving goals and meeting challenges.
You follow the activations of sports actors and partners in the media and on social networks.
Autonomous, curious, proactive and rigorous, while you are enthusiastic and social, you have a relational and commercial feeling. You have very good writing skills. You master a graphical execution tool such as Photoshop or Illustrator and mailing. Proficiency in English is indispensable.
Our agency became a “company with a mission” in 2021, to contribute to a positive transformation of society through sport. Interest in social issues is also a plus.
