Sainte Luce ski pass. On behalf of the 27th day of the Ligue 2, Nîmes Olympique (9th, 35 points) will receive Paris FC (2nd, 51 points) tomorrow at 3 p.m. For this meeting, Nicolas Usaï has been robbed of five players, mainly Théo Sainte-Luce. Touched in the thigh, the left side barely trained with the group this morning and the staff rather spared him in this match even if he didn’t “nothing serious”† Anthony Briançon (knee) and Enzo Philibert (toe) are still in the rehabilitation phase. The defender, who is not yet a professional, will leave Cannes for a week in a rehabilitation center on Monday. Lucas Dias was not selected for the trip to Amiens (3-0) after a muscular alert last Friday. Arrested this week, his coach “hope to see him back on the field by the middle of next week”† Mahamadou Doucouré is also absent again, “He tried to run again on Wednesday, but he still feels pain in his calf”, says his trainer. On the other hand, Per Kristian Bratveit and Andrés Cubas will be in the group, as will Yassine Benrahou, who is back after missing two games.
The 18 selected players to choose from: Bratveit, Nazih – Paquiez, Burner, Guessoum, Mbow, Ueda, Martinez, Sadzoute – Delpech, Cubas, Fomba, Sarr, Ponceau, Valerio, Eliasson, Benrahou, Ferhat – Omarsson, Koné.
The likely eleven: Bratveit – Burner, Guessoum, Martinez, Paquiez – Cubas, Fomba – Ferhat, Benrahou, Eliasson – Koné.
Andrés Cubas on his way out? During the press conference this morning, Nicolas Usaï was asked about the future of Andrés Cubas. If the 25-year-old Paraguayan international still has a two-year contract with Nimes Olympique, he has requests. “It’s not just Boca Juniors (Argentina), there are other clubs”, the Nîmes coach assures (see video above). The latter noticed that this necessarily affected his midfield, “We’ve felt for a while that these interests are important to him. I’m going to talk to him about that again today. I’ll let the president know.” However, the former player who trained in Boca and was a professional there from 2014 to 2017 still seems invested in NO: “I appreciate his professionalism and his qualities, but it is difficult to keep players who want to leave.” He certainly misses his homeland – he wears the Paraguay national team jersey, but was born in Argentina. “Maybe if the club had stayed in Ligue 1, they might have missed South America less”, concludes Nicolas Usai. A technician who knows that the Crocos’ workforce will be largely turned upside down this summer with nine players at the end of the contract (Bratveit, Mbow, Briançon, Martinez, Paquiez, Sainte-Luce, Valerio, Ferhat and Ponceau) with little discussion going on for extensions at the moment. Without forgetting at least five players, including Cubas (€2.5 million*) with a market value and therefore probably wishing to have elsewhere: Fomba (€2.8 million), Eliasson (€2.5 million), Benrahou (€3 million) and Koné (€2.5m).

A derby and bet. Place this weekend on the 16th day of N3 with the leader Alès receiving tomorrow (4th) Narbonne at 7pm. Firmly in the lead, with a five-point lead over Agde and a late game, the Cevennes, who remain on four consecutive wins, are looking to extend their lead further. A Saturday marked by a derby between the reserve of Nîmes Olympique and the Stade Beaucairois, meet at 6 pm in the Bastide. After two wins in a row, the red lantern came back against Toulouse II, at home last week (0-2). Yannick Dumas’s men are eager to restart the maintenance operation against the sturdy Beaucairois, third in the championship and who remains on a great success in Balma (3-0). A formation from Haute-Garonne moving to Aigues-Mortes on Sunday at 3 pm. Fifth, the Saliniers want to recover after the setback in Narbonne (3-0). Especially since between fourth and eleventh place the teams are in a handkerchief with only three points difference.
USAM Nimes Gard
300 games for Rebichon. Tonight USAM welcomes Nancy for the 19th day of the championship. In the ranks of Nîmes, there will be a man on the pitch who can boast more than 300 games in the first division tonight. This is Captain Julien Rebichon who reached this symbolic milestone last Sunday during the lost voyage to Paris (36-31). Originally from Clermont-l’Hérault, the left winger arrived in Nîmes in 2005 to complete his training before turning pro two years later and never leaving the team. For his 14th season in D1, he has therefore just exceeded this bar of 300 matches played in the competition with 632 goals scored. That clearly makes him the most capped Nimes player in the history of the Union Sportive des Anciens du Mont Duplan. At 33, he still has a few years to go and now hopes to win a major title with his club of hearts in addition to being crowned in D2 during the 2012/2013 season.
