The Limoges Committee of the Movement against Racism and for Friendship between Peoples, the Libre Pensée and other associations organize a demonstration on Saturday 19 March at 4.30 pm in front of the “Cours Bugeaud” sign in Limoges (near the Champ-de-Juillet) to “remember that this Marshal (1784-1849) was a bloodthirsty torturer at the time of the conquest of Algeria”. The associations would like to see a plaque commemorating the historical reality of this character.

Bigflo & Oli will perform at the Esplanade du Crouzy in Boisseuil on Saturday, July 16 at 5 pm. The duo is joined by surprising guests. Spectators will have the opportunity to eat on site. The group Elliott M. will be on the stage of the Espace Confluences in Condat-sur-Vienne on Saturday 19 March at 8.30 pm, at the invitation of the association Note à Note prod. The trio consists of Michel Mesples, author, composer, guitarist and vocalist, Florent Mourlon, multi-instrumentalist and Mireille Bourdier, vocalist, backing vocalist and keyboardist. Elliott M, influenced by Anglo-Saxon and French pop, plays in French.

Saturday 19 March at 8.30 pm, the musical story The tree through the seasonsin which a tree is aimed at children and adults, is offered at the Jean-Pierre-Fabrègue cultural center in Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche.
The show is written by several hands, the lyrics by Florence Nicot and the musical compositions by Olivier Costa. The performers, 53 singers and 19 dancers, come from different structures: the Maurice-Ravel school group in Saint-Yrieix (CM1 by Sylvie Grimaud), the Arsène-Bonneaud college in Nexon (Barbara Garmin’s choir) and the Intermunicipal School of Music and Dance (EIMD) by Saint-Yrieix Alexandre-Ducasse (music lessons with Christelle Costa, dance with Carole Desroches and singing with Florent Monbouche).

Five musicians, Cécile Denis (flute), Florence Nicot (keyboards), Benoît Cousin (electric guitar), Sébastien Fouillat (bass guitar) and Olivier Costa (drums), accompany them on stage.
The narrator Sophie Jamin intervenes throughout the show and the story is also illustrated by Solène Choblet, whose images are projected as the story unfolds.

On the occasion of the Reading fair in Limoges, the City of Limoges organizes the “Comic Book Readers Award”† The public can choose from three titles: René.e in the sleeping forest, by Elene Usdin, the great voidby Léa Murawiec, and Dirty!, by Elizabeth Holleville. – Friday March 18th, the Ciellois book club “À la Page! invites Olivier Rougerie from 6 pm to 8 pm, multipurpose room. The publishing house presents its traditional publishing house in Mortemart and explains its choice for a specialization in poetry with supporting anecdotes. Poems are read by the publishing house and by members of the book club.

– Saturday March 26, Laurent Bourdelas, historian and poet, and Marie-Noëlle Agniau, poet and author of object books and poetic notebooks, will read and discuss their works in the multi-purpose room from 3 pm.

– Sunday 27 March at 5 pm in the church of Cieux, meeting with Christian Viguié, winner of the Mallarmé Prize 2021 for his collection injury published by Rougerie editions. He is accompanied by the poet Laurent Doucet and the ethnologist Marie Virolle.


On the occasion of the International Day of the Fight for Women’s Rights, the film crew Stand up women organize a film debate Friday 18 March at 8.30 pm in Le Colisée cinema in Châteauneuf-la-Forêt† This screening will take place in the presence of Martine Duchemin, Annie Queneuille and Sylvie Dufossé, AVS (school assistants) present in the film, and Damien Maudet, member of the film crew.


The CFA (Craft Training Center) Le Moulin Rabaud in Limoges, rue de Saint-Gence 104, is organizing an open house throughout the site on Saturday, March 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The opportunity to discover training courses in the food trade (bakery, confectionery, butchery, charcuterie), hairdressers, young children and service and automotive operators.

The Mil’Pat’ of Saint-Gence offer an introduction to water hiking, with two free sessions of one hour each, on Saturdays from 3.30 pm on Lake Saint-Pardoux, Santrop beach. It is not necessary to be able to swim.
