Stadiums, skate parks or other places to practice also make it possible to meet, exchange andmaintain social tieslike a village square. In Lansargues (Hérault), for example, a city stadium [2] was realized with support from the region of just over €12,000. His goal ? Stimulate the practice of sports on the village and provide a place for discussion and kindness. And it worked! Titouan, 17, testifies: I come often, almost every day. I like this city stadium because I can play and vary the sports. And then we can come between us, we often meet to play small tournaments.

About 6 floors! This is the height of the climbing wall “L’Usine”.

Some equipment makes it possible puts Occitania central, by hosting top athletes or by organizing international events. This is the case for the new sports complex “L’Usine” in Tarbes (Hautes-Pyrénées). Supported with 1.3 million euros by the Region, it offers a second youth to a former industrial building built in 1937.

Under a glass roof with a height of 30 meters and at the heart of its 11,000 m², “L’Usine” includes: an “athletics center” with a track of 200 meters; a team sports center with two multi-sports fields; and a “climbing pole” that attracts all eyes. The wall, 18 meters high and 51 meters long, is one of the largest in Europe

Enola Balleta 17-year-old sportswoman, is full of praise for this equipment: ” Since the opening of ” Factory “, I was able to try my hand at wall climbing. And I can tell you it’s high! It’s great to be able to train at an international level, I will be able to evolve and feel more comfortable for competitions. I am also looking forward to training in the indoor athletics hall. I could go there in any weather, even if it rains!

Testimony

We, as a federal structure, are highly motivated and enthusiastic† With “L’Usine” we have one of the most beautiful facilities in France that will allow us to welcome the greatest number of people, perform at a high level, organize events and welcome suitable audiences. This equipment will be all the more appreciated since close to the CREPS of Toulouse, the CNEA of Font-Romeu, the gymnasium of Tournefeuille and the natural cliffs of the Hautes-Pyrénées. This ecosystem should attract international teams and the action of the Region is at the heart of this territorial network
