the Jean-Moulin college of Montceau-les-Mines on all fronts (press release)

“Last week, nearly 30 students from Jean Moulin College represented their establishment through various sporting events.

First of all, two university teams qualified in their respective French UNSS Championships:

The triple effort in Châteauroux:

The triathlon team consisting of 4 participants and a young coach traveled to Châteauroux from Monday 30 May to Wednesday 1 June.
After a first aquaathlon on Tuesday morning, they continued with the queen triathlon on Wednesday morning.
Despite a very high standard, the team finished 17th in these French UNSS Championships and did not fail against institutions that for some were composed solely of triathletes who played in clubs.
To underline the achievement of the academic level for our young coach during this competition.

The step in Nice

Then the STEP team consisting of 6 students (5 girls and 1 boy) from the college and a young official from the Lycée Henri Parriat (mandatory during the French Championships) went to Nice for its French UNSS Championships Wednesday, June 1, to Friday, June 3.

After 3 passages of their choreography, judged on various technical aspects (steps, arm movements, artistic aspect, show, etc.) during the two days of classification and only very slightly missing the qualification to appear in the French top 10, the team has finished 12th in the competition and achieved a very good performance.
Also note the achievement of the “Young National Judge UNSS Step” diploma for Satine Lukowitz who, thanks to the collaboration between the Jean Moulin college and the Henri Parriat high school, was able to validate this recognized diploma for Parcoursup during this competition.

Congratulations to these two teams who wore the colors of the college high, it is indeed very rare to qualify for the French UNSS Championships, but when two teams from the same establishment succeed, it becomes exceptional.

The raid of the UNSS College in Cluny

Finally, about fifteen students participated in the Raid UNSS des collèges 2022 after two consecutive years of cancellation due to health problems.

Once again, nearly 300 students from more than 10 institutions gathered in Cluny for a week of sports activities: climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, orienteering.

The Jean Moulin College was again present during this Raid and the students experienced very good moments of sharing and sports during these rhythmic and very demanding days.

Congratulations to them for their investment in the camp (meals, dishes, etc.) and in sports activities (including a beautiful trail of more than 43 km of mountain biking around Cluny).

As for the championships of France, the teachers would like to thank the people who, near or far, have worked for the smooth running of these championships with their various aids.

Thanks to: M Lagunte, director of the Jean Moulin college and his management team, the town hall of Blanzy for his exceptional help, the company Berthelon
to the departmental service UNSS 71 and to the regional service of the UNSS.

And regarding the UNSS Raid, all teachers would like to: Thank Jean-Moulin High School House for their exceptional help. Our regular partner Géant Casino and the town hall of Montceau for lending materials at the camp.

Thanks to all the teachers and supervisors who have allowed the students to experience wonderful moments through these French Championships and the Raid UNSS des collèges, an appointment has already been made for the Raid UNSS des collèges 2023 and, who knows, for the French UNSS 2023 championships .
